Small Size Khaki Senneh Persian Oriental Area Rug 3x5 Handspun Wool 3x5 Senneh instock Senneh, or Sanandaj, is a tribal rug hand-woven by the Kurdish semi-nomads of the Senneh district in the heart of Kurdistan in north-western Iran. Sennehs are reputed to be better in quality than the rugs produced in surrounding villages. These tough tribal people produce a design which resembles the Bidjar in layout, color, and in thickness and strength. The city of Bidjar is close to Senneh and the two share a long history of rug weaving together. They tend to be small, and usually have the famous overall Herati design with a diamond-shaped medallion, in a range of rich earth tones.
